Can I connect a DVI monitor to the built-in DisplayPort?

Yes but it has to be an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter and not all adapters and cables are compatible. We recommend using high-quality cables and adapters for the best compatibility.

In our tests, the following adapter and cable were found to be compatible and working as expected.

The DVI cable can also affect the compatibility. In our tests, we found that the LINDY 36251-BLACK LINE DVI-D DUAL LINK cable worked without any problems.
