MyCloud Mini

This device basically lets you host media on your network and share it anywhere you would like. So basically it lets you have your own mini cloud at home for media and document sharing. Pretty cool right?

MyCloud Mini

Sure, you could leave your home PC on 24/7, but this discrete device consumes significantly less energy. Plus, many Smart TVs (like the Sharp AQUOS line, for example) don’t include apps like Box.net or DropBox, giving the AKiTiO MyCloud Mini an edge.

Taurus Mini Super-S LCM

First I will start off by saying the AKiTiO Taurus Mini is an attractive device. The looks are professional and sleek, the all aluminum body gives it great strength along with better cooling capacity. The heatsink that is placed on the bottom of the Mini gives the device an edgy look but still maintains its functionality.

MyCloud Duo

What makes this device so fun to have is it’s Cloud capabilities. All you have to do is sign up on AKiTiO’s website and it will keep track of your device’s IP. Then you just log into their site and it will redirect to your device. All of this for FREE. Huge kudos on that one. Nothing better than being able to access your secure files anywhere you want, including on your smart phone.

MyCloud Duo

Is it OK to fall in love with a NAS? MyCloud Duo is a tough product to review, because there is much more to this NAS than one would expect. MyCloud Duo is much more like a media server than a simple NAS.

In conclusion, this is one of the fastest external drive enclosures using conventional HDDs I have ever used. It is very quiet and looks good next to my MacPro. It also comes in a dark metal enclosure. You want one of these! Read More...

MyCloud Duo

The MyCloud Duo NAS is quite small, at 7 in x 4.8 in x 3.2 in. In terms of sheer functionality, however, this device is basically the same as most other two-drive NAS devices on the market. In other words, full-featured. Virtually any dual-drive NAS released within the last year or so is going to be a positive addition to your home theater or simply for storage of a lot of data.
