[Thunder2 Quad] Why does my Mac crash and restart after turning off the Thunderbolt drive?

Starting with Mac OS 10.10.2, the computer might crash and restart when turning off the power to some external Thunderbolt drives. This happens after the drive has been ejected and the external drive has been turned off but does not affect all Thunderbolt drives.

To solve this problem, please upgrade your Mac OS to 10.10.3 or above. As a workaround for Mac OS 10.10.2, eject the drives and then disconnect the Thunderbolt cable BEFORE you turn off the external drive.
