[Taurus LCM] Why can I only see 2TB instead of the full capacity?

In order for the computer to access volumes larger than 2TB, both the hardware and Operating System (e.g. Windows 7 or Mac OS 10.4 and above) need to have the capacity to support large volumes. 

  1. Check the settings of the Taurus and make sure the >2TB option is enabled.
  2. Change the RAID mode, confirm it and format the drives. Once done, change the RAID mode back to your preferred setting and confirm it. This will erase all existing data on the drives and create a brand new RAID system.
  3. Create a new partition and format the drives a second time. On Windows, create a GPT partition instead of a MBR partition if it's larger than 2TB.
