What is the difference between Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C
USB-C (USB Type-C) is a type of connector and cable, which is small and reversible. The Thunderbolt 3 technology makes use of the USB-C connector and is currently the fastest and most versatile interface.
Note that not all USB-C ports are the same. For example, a Thunderbolt 3 capable computer with a USB-C port that has a lightning icon means it supports Thunderbolt 3 devices as well as USB devices and monitors. On the other hand, if the USB-C port does not have a lightning icon, it only supports USB devices.
