How to fix mouse lag or a slow keyboard?

We do not recommend connecting a keyboard or a mouse to the second Thunderbolt 3 port on devices that have two Thunderbolt 3 ports.This includes USB ports on other USB devices that are connected to the second Thunderbolt 3 port such as USB hubs, USB docks or monitors with built-in USB ports.

If you are experiencing lags when using a USB mouse or keyboard, try one of the following solutions:

• Connect the mouse or keyboard directly to a USB port on the computer.
• Use a different mouse or keyboard. Ideally, the device is based on the USB 3 specifications, not USB 1.1 or USB 2.0.
• Connect the mouse or keyboard to a Thunderbolt 3 device that has built-in USB ports like our Thunder3 RAID Station or Thunder3 Dock Pro.
